Lesson Plans

The primary purpose of NOAHnet is to provide health educators with easily accessible nutrition education lesson plans targeted toward older adults with low literacy skills.

Each lesson plan provides everything you need to give a 15-20 minute lesson and is available in both Word and PDF formats. There is no charge for using these materials. More information about usage and download instructions can be found by clicking "1-2-3 Download Instructions" below.

IMPORTANT: The intended audience for these lesson plans is older adults with low-literacy skills. The lessons were purposefully developed with a high graphic content to improve readability. Please be patient with the long download time expected with these large files (perhaps several minutes).

Click on "Description" to read a summary of each lesson. Click "Word" or "PDF" to download the full lesson in either format. Additional download help is provided here. Each lesson is ranked as either "Easy," "Medium," or "Hard," based on the level of information.
