NSI Tip Sheets for Nutrition Referrals

The goal of The Nutrition Screening Initiative (NSI) is to promote the use of nutrition screening and intervention into health care for older adults. The NSI program includes a 10-item Nutritional Health Checklist that can be used to see if older adults are at risk for malnutrition. If you discover that the older adults you work with are at nutrition risk, you can download a handout for each item with tips and suggestions.

Although the initiative has been discontinued, health professionals can still use the materials and tips to help address the nutrition issues older face.
